LIFT Women’s Ministry
It has been well said that women are the heartbeat of the home, but at the same time, women are too often seen as objects, rather than the individuals God created them to be. At Salem Tabernacle, we embrace the unique and intrinsic value that each woman has, and encourage them to walk in the fullness of God’s plan for their lives.
And speaking of “walk” – we know that we need to walk “by faith, not by sight” (2 Corinthians 5:7), so this ministry’s vision is to give our women the tools they need to walk in their faith in Christ. With meetings and events scheduled throughout the year – culminating with the Annual Christmas Party – LIFT is always presenting new and creative ways for the women of our fellowship to serve and learn together. Whether it’s a guest speaker or an enticing culinary endeavor, LIFT is here to bring some fun and some insight that will truly enhance your walk with God.

How to Host
by Nov. 8 – Sign up to host a table – Invite guests if having a watch party – Purchase/gather table materials (see below)
Thurs, Nov. 19 – Attend Zoom training
by Nov. 22 – Submit a picture of your centerpiece (to email@example.com)
by Nov. 22 – Submit final theme for table
by Nov. 29 – Submit payment for yourself and guests (Tickets are $5 per person. Payments can be made online under the Give button or in the signup form, in the mail, or in the offering box. Please mark envelopes with your name and “Gala.”)
Dec. 4 & 5 – By 6P: Setup your table and test Zoom screen
– 7P: Opening prayer – Time to chat and eat dessert or appetizers
– Turn everyone’s attention to the Zoom screen
– Type guests’ bids into the Zoom chat
– End night when you want!
by Dec. 6 – Drop off centerpiece to the church
(attach note w/ name of winner)
Dec. 7-13 – Pick up any items you won in the auction
- Tablecloth or fabric
- Table settings
- Centerpiece (decorate to match theme)
- Refreshments or dessert
- Favor for each guest
- Bags for guests to take home favors

– Auction: – Turn your (or guests’) attention to the Zoom screen – Type your (or guests’) bids into the Zoom chat – End night when you want!
by Dec. 7-13 – Pickup from the church any items you won in the auction.
Suggested Donation Items
- Beauty items (hair dryer, flat iron, etc…)
- Appliances, cookware, kitchen items
- Home Decor items (trays, wall signs, etc…)
- Pet Items
- …any other big items
DROP OFF: Bring items to church’s downstairs studio room (ask usher for directions)
Please only include new or like new items (no intimates or used clothing items).
